Dylos DC1100 air quality monitor/particle counter
You and your family may use the Dylos DC1100 True Laser Particle Counter to get the data you need to decide if the air inside your home is clean. The DC1100 is the best option for anyone concerned about the quality of their indoor air because it can measure the quantity and size of particles from mold, smoke, bacteria, pollen, plant spore, and dust mites in your house. Once you are aware of the pollution levels in your house, you can take the appropriate action to address the issue, such as buying an air purifier or an air sterilizer. Keep in mind that the DC1100 is not a medical device and should not be used to treat any medical condition.
The DC1100 air quality monitor works better than other air quality sensors because it is a True Laser particle counter. As airborne particles pass through the laser light source, the unit measures the amount of light the particles scatter when passing through the detection area. The DC1100 is able to detect particulate matter in 2 concentration thresholds; small particles (approximately 1 micron) and large particles (5 microns).
The DC1100 air quality monitor is easy to use. Simply install your device at a location and height in the room where you want to test the air quality, plug it in and turn it on. Be mindful that concentrations of particulate matter can vary significantly from one room to the next within the same home.
The Dylos DC1100 air quality monitor comes with a number of handy features. The Continuous mode displays the current levels of airborne particles, records the data for future analysis and a convenient bar graph shows the actual number and size of particles being detected. The Monitor mode takes a sampling of the ambient air for one minute every hour and the concentration thresholds are then displayed on the LDC screen. The Minute History mode allows a user to view the data recorded over the past hour on a minute to minute basis. The Hour History mode allows a user to view data recorded over the past day on an hour by hour basis. The Day History mode allows a user to view data recorded over the past month on a day by day basis. When interpreting the data, remember that the numbers are based on detected levels of airborne particles in .01 cubic foot of sampled air.
The DC1100 is virtually maintenance free. All that is needed is a bit of compressed air once a month to blast away dust and dirt from the openings at the back of the unit. Dylos offers a 90 day limited warranty on material defects and workmanship. At their discretion, Dylos will either repair or replace the DC1100 unit within the warranty period.
