Residential Home Ispections

A home inspection is a non-invasive visual examination of the condition of a home, often in connection with the sale of that home. The purpose of a home inspection is to inform the individual buyer of the current physical condition of the home and indicate what components and systems may need a major or minor repair or replacement. A home inspection cannot determine the value of a property and it is not a municipal inspection, which verifies local building code compliance. AMI Services will provide you with a comprehensive, fair and objective written evaluation so that you can make the best decisions with regards to your valuable investment.

Mold Inspection/Testing

AMI Services offers residential mold inspections and focus on the testing and identification of indoor air quality problems associated with mold, moisture and bacteria. We use swab/tape testing when there are visible areas of possible contamination. These tests are crucial in identifying the exact type of mold in your home, since some types of mold can be toxigenic. Air quality testing is also available particularly when there is no visible area of contamination, but there are indicators of a possible mold intrusion. Samples are taken of the outdoor air and the indoor air (at the specific area in question) in order to do a comparison of the two to determine whether there are unhealthy levels of mold spores in the air.

AMI Services will provide you with a written mold inspection report outlining the specific details of any potential mold contamination, as well as the lab results and interpretation of said results (when applicable) and suggestions for eliminating the potential mold problem in your home. AMI Services uses a certified lab for all testing and tests are sent via FedEx Next Day. Results are generally available within 3 business days.
